At the Miller Performing Arts Center, our passion for the creative arts inspires everything we do. We are committed to cultivating a vibrant, welcoming environment where artists, performers, and audiences alike can discover, create, and be transformed by the power of live expression.

Featuring exceptional acoustics and warm, intimate seating, the Miller Performing Arts Center offers an ideal setting for concerts, lectures, and theatrical performances. Here, every event becomes an immersive experience — bringing people together, elevating artistic voices, and enriching our community through the arts.

Jefferson City High School ranked #1 in Jefferson City, MO metro area high schools (out of 22 ranked), #58 in Missouri high schools (out of 725 ranked), and #4,587 in national rankings (out of 17,901 ranked). 

Capital High School ranked #2 in Jefferson City, MO metro area high schools (out of 22 ranked), #79 in Missouri high schools (out of 725 ranked), and #6,604 in national rankings (out of 17,901 ranked). The 2021-2022 school year was the first year Capital City High School had a graduating class and was eligible for the ranking. CCHS ranked #3 in Jefferson City, MO metro area high schools for its first year of eligibility in 2024.

JC Schools Support Staff: Vital to Our District of Champions

JC Schools support staff members, like our nutrition services team members and secretaries, are tirelessly committed to helping improve building outcomes and supporting the school team. They have a unique ability to build relationships with students, colleagues and other stakeholders while also demonstrating an exemplary, champion mentality.

These individuals show us that non-teaching staff can make a difference in the lives of our students.

JC Schools Foundation Grants Support Teachers and Schools

For the past several years the Foundation has awarded over $300,000 to teachers in various school and classroom grants. The Prize Patrol awards funds for schools through innovative teacher ideas, science, math and technology needs, literacy materials, professional development group training, and other fine arts curriculum needs.

Students in our district have abundant opportunities to thrive beyond the classroom through extracurricular activities like sports, speech and debate, and drama. We’re proud to support a well-rounded education that nurtures every student’s unique talents and interests.
